National Practice Lead – Health & Safety, Greencap
Simon Ercole has been has been working alongside workers potentially exposed to RCS for over 20 years. He joined Greencap in 2017 as a Senior Consultant, bringing two decades of experience across several industries in occupational hygiene, environmental management and safety. In 2018, he became the National Practice Lead for the Health & Safety practice and joined Greencap’s executive leadership team.
As well as being an experienced Environmental Scientist with post graduate qualifications in occupational hygiene and business, Simon is also a Certified Occupational Hygienist. Prior to joining Greencap, he supervised a team of health professionals as a specialist in Occupational Hygiene in the smelting industry, then managed his own consultancy business in Tasmania providing occupational hygiene and WHS services.
Simon has significant experience working in complex and sensitive work situations and he possesses a passion for mentoring and developing people, capability and capacity within organisations. He is particularly interested in the future of occupational hygiene, what the future work of WHS professionals might be, and anticipating the potential hazards of new technologies.
Simon has been delivering a capacity attended Greencap National Seminar Series about Crystalline Silica during 2019.
